The top imports are Refined Petroleum, Computers, Broadcasting Equipment, and and Packaged Medicaments. The top exports are bananas, tropical fruits, Medical Instruments, Orthopedic Appliances, etc.

In the week of January 15. To do homage to Christ of Esquipulas, patron saint of Santa Cruz. Dances, music, marimbas and bloodless bullfights.
